Sexy hot demigods, I love it!
**Book provided by the author for an honest review**
Hailstorm is a spin-off of the Jocelyn Frost series. I have read book one in that series, so I was already familiar with the world the author had created. Hailstorm could be a stand alone in the sense that you don't have to read In-Between Work and Play however, you may find it easier to follow if you do because more is explained in detail about the history and different worlds in the book. For example; the books are based on Greek, Egyptian, and other Gods, so lots of mythical creatures involved to keep track of and how they are related to each God.......there are a lot of them!
I loved this story about Clementine and Shayla. The are two awesomely calm and rational characters when you consider what they woke up to after being drugged. Lets start from the beginning. Both women were kidnapped from a theater on Earth. Clementine wakes up in a strange room, with people talking about her like she is a piece of property for sale. She can not move, and pretends she is sleeping still while she eaves drops on the conversation to find out what is going on. She quickly learns she was being sold as a blood whore for a vampire! Although in her world vampires do not exist, this doesn't seem to be the part that freaks her out, lol. As Clementine is being transported to her new "owner", she is able to escape and take the kidnapped victim Shayla with her. The girls have no idea how much there life will change once they jump off that train, yee haw!
The two ladies are no longer on Earth, they are in Erda, a world where demigods, unicorns, vampires, and such exists, but they don't know this. So they are running from their captors while trying to find help. They run into twins Paxton and Everett, two gorgeous demigods! The brothers were on a quest of there own, which now has been derailed in order to help the clueless humans. During the journey to seek help, the four hook up, not right away, but some sexy times do happen, ya baby! This adventure also reveals some unknown family history, abilities, and interesting new species that were brought up in the original series! We have Freki and Geri whom were just hilarious! They are wolves that were able to communicate telepathically with Clementine, and they kept wanting to castrate Paxton to keep him away from Clementine! Then you have the wepwawet's that were hunting the girls, nasty effers! The wepwawet's were described as being very nasty, mutilated versions of werewolves.
My overall impression of the book is that the story kept my attention, and I definitely wanted more. The story had it's funny haha moments as well as the scary wtf is that attacking them moments. The sexy time moments of course that all came together in a nicely balanced way. I do have to say though the ending........really? It's not a cliff hanger, but the story isn't finished. I want to know what happens! Is there a happily ever after or what! So with that said, I can't wait til the second book! I highly recommend this book if you like fantasy, romance, and danger! And don't forget you have to read the original book also, In-Between Work and Play because it is super cool with the characters, magics and you will learn more about the world and it has more sexy times, tee hee....

Another Awesome Book by Relina Skye
I bought Hailstorm on Sunday late evening and finished it Monday. I loved Relina's earlier novel In-Between Work and Play and have to say that Hailstorm was just as awesome. There is never a dull moment, the story starts from page one and the journey begins with twists and turns, and awesome mythological characters. You don't have to have a degree in mythology in order to understand Relina's books, she has a kick-ass glossary of terms to help the reader and does a great job of working in explanations within the story.
If you are looking for an unique and entertaining story with equally unique and entertaining characters, this is the book to read.
