H.P. Mallory's "Better off Dead" is the first novel in the Lily Harper Series. It is a mix of humor, world building, and character development for the recently deceased main character Lily Harper. It was supposed to be a good day for the twenty two year old protagonist. But when her guardian angel failed to protect her during a car accident, she died before her time. Given the choice between going to Shade (aka Limbo) for a century or becoming a Soul Retriever in a new body, she decides to live again. Overall, I enjoyed this novel. It is well written. I also look forward to reading the next book in the series, "The Underground City".

H.P. Mallory's "The Underground City" is about a young woman, Lily Harper, who died before her time. As a result she was given the chance to live again, but this time she'd have retrieve lost souls from the Underground
City, (aka Hell). Along the way she befriends her guardian angel, Bill and Taliss, the bladesmith. Taliss takes it upon himself to train Lily and to set her up for personal training. Overall, not everything is as it seems and there is more to Tallis than meets the eye. I enjoyed this book and hope that you do too!

H.P. Mallory created another fantastic story with "To Hell and Back." Lily Harper can't catch a break. Even though she is employed to retrieve souls, the monsters of the Underground City don't play nice. In fact if she kills any one of them she could be punished by being sent off to Shade. Overall, I can't wait until the next book comes out. I predict that we'll learn that Tallis was once in charge of the Underground City and that Alaire will have Lily hurt either Tallis or Bill in order to pay her debt. I just hope she sends a formal complaint to AfterLife Enterprises about Alaire's behaviour.
