Ready to Were by Robyn Peterman
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Another hilarious hit for Robyn Peterman! Essie is a WTF agent sent back to her home town. She swore she'd never return. Why? Women she's known all of her life are being abducted and since she has a lot in common with them, her handler felt that she would be the best person for the job. Why doesn't she want to go back? Because of Hank, the alpha of her pack who is also her ex boyfriend. Overall, this novella is a fun read. Peterman was sure to include outrageous characters, a quirky female lead, and a leading male that would make any girl melt. As always, I enjoy her stories, and I hope that you will too.

The Fertile Vampire by Karen Ranney
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Karen Ranney does a fabulous job with "The Fertile Vampire." Marice lives in a world where DNA testing has proven the existence of vampires. And as a result they were forced to come out of the casket. As a minority group, they are seen as desirable employees for certain occupations, but at the same time they are hated by the average person due to the shift in the job market. So, when Marice's ex-vampire - boyfriend shows up, she has a hard time denying him entrance into her life and bed. Little did she realize that sex with a vampire wasn't what it was cracked up to be when she wakes up in a hospital. I don't want to give anything else away so I'll stop there. Overall, it was an enjoyable read. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

A Spirited Manor by Kate Danley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Kate Danley delivers a wickedly entertaining gilded age novel set in 1891. Clare O'Hare is a mourning widow who wants nothing more than to live each and every single day of her life in mourning. Her husband, Thomas, died suddenly leaving her to go on without him. Heartbroken, she sells their house and all of their possessions from their marriage. Moving into a new home seemed like the only logical thing to do to help her move on. Boy was she wrong! Her new home is anything but a quiet get away. With a ghostly teenager visiting her in the middle of the night, she is practically pushed into taking action. Overall, I thought it was well written. I felt like I could hear Clare's proper sounding voice in my head as I read. This novel is for you if you like "Clue" or a murder mystery with a paranormal twist. I liked it and hope that you do too!
