Aphrodite's Secret by Julie Kenner
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
"Aphrodite's Secret" is the third book in the Superhero Series by Julie Kenner. Up until this point in the series, Lane and Davy have been minor characters. Lane is a single mom, trying to do it all, raise her son, go to law school, and to find a man that would love to be Davy's dad. Little does she realize that Jason, Davy's biological father is back and wants to be a part of their lives again. Taken prisoner seven years ago, Jason was finally able to escape a year ago. Stuck on Olympus for about eleven months, he's spent the past month trying to figure out how to be a dad. Will Jason be able to convince Lane to take him back? Overall, I really liked this novel. I also love how Kenner keeps the characters from previous novels involved in the plot lines in the current novel. So, if you're looking for a new series, try this one. But remember all of the books need to be read in order.

Aphrodite's Flame by Julie Kenner
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
"Aphrodite's Flame" is the fourth book in the Superhero Series by Julie Kenner. Mordi has a lot to prove. Mainly that he deserves to be a Protector and that he is not going to follow his father's path in life. Izzy Frost, Zephron's halfling niece, also has a lot to prove. Mainly that she deserves to be a protector and that her recent promotion is because she's worked hard not because she's related to the High Elder. As a re-appointment counselor she has to evaluate outcasts who wish to rejoin the Protector ranks. Little does she know that her first case is going to be the notorious Hieronymous Black. Overall, I enjoyed this novel. Watching Mordi's transformation from the first novel to the current one has be an interesting journey. If you like sweet romances with a mythological twist then this series is for you.

Aphrodite's Embrace by Julie Kenner
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
"Aphrodite's Embrace" by Julie Kenner is a Novella in the Superhero Series. This novella should be read between "Aphrodite's Kiss" and "Aphrodite's Passion". Jennifer Martin is a mortal who works for the Mortal - Protector Liaison Office. Her mother, Daphne who also works at the MPLO, is dead set on Jenny finding a nice Protector to marry. Jenny is dead set on doing the opposite. Enter Starbuck. Starbuck is a Protector who looks like a mortal. He's undercover working at the MPLO searching for a mole. His number one suspect is Daphne. Overall, I thought that this was a fun read. Once Jenny and Starbuck make a connection, their romance ignites. And for those of you who love Hale, he makes a couple of appearances too!

Aphrodite's Charms by Julie Kenner
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
"Aphrodite's Charms" is a book bundle that consists of "Aphrodite's Kiss", "Aphrodite's Passion", "Aphrodite's Secret" and "Aphrodite's Flame". Kenner takes the reader into an alternate universe where the Greek gods of ancient times were actually an advance genetic line of humans. In order to be accepted, at that time, their cover story was that they were gods. Fast forward to the present, and that race of humans is now known as 'Protectors' and 'Outcasts'. The Protectors are a part of an intricate bureaucracy whose main mission is to secretly protect mortals. The Outcasts were formally Protectors, but they no longer wish to protect mortals or they have committed some other offence. Written from multiple perspectives, each story has some challenge that the main couple must face while at the same time they have personal issues they have to address. Overall, I thought it was well written. I enjoyed how Kenner kept each of the characters that she introduced in the first novel in each of the stories while moving the overall plot of the series along. It is well worth the price. Just keep in mind that these four novels need to be read in order. This series is for you if you like sweet romances with some sextual content, a pinch of cheesiness, with a good versus evil plot line in the background. If you're still not sure, then download "Aphrodite's Kiss" and try that out first since it is normally free.

Aphrodite's Delight by Julie Kenner
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Julie Kenner's "Aphrodite's Delight" returns her readers to the world of the Superhero Series. As far as the timeline is concerned, this novella should be read after Book 4, "Aphrodite's Flame". Even though it is a separate entity in the Superhero world, it should still be read at that point in the series.
A new couple is introduced, Nikko and Lydia, along with a new villain. Nikko is a Protector on probationary status. Called back to Manhattan by the council, he has to be extra careful to keep a low profile. Everywhere he goes, people identify his as a comic book hero called the "Silver Streak." Lydia lacks backbone in her professional life. Her coworkers have no respect for her, and her boss is absent minded and totally oblivious when it comes to recognizing her contributions to his department. Can Lydia grow a backbone? Will Nikko complete his mission? Will it even matter when their paths cross? Follow Nikko and Lydia's journey and their whirlwind of an extremely fast romance. If you loved the rest of this series then you'll love this novella too. And hopefully, Kenner will one day write more fun superhero romances!
